A Simple Way to Organize your Daily Meeting Notes

Achieve digital organization and clarity of all the topics you follow up during your daily meetings with this simple dashboard!

How to Use the Template

The threads dashboard centralizes your meeting notes into three databases: People, Topics and Tasks.

  1. Define your meetings: Start by creating the meetings you usually have with your colleagues under the Meetings section (e.g., a 1:1 with your boss, a Team meeting, etc.). You can group these meetings by using labels (e.g., Management, My Team, etc.).
  2. Define your ongoing Threads: Create a new topic for every activity you are following up, grouping these by Project.
  3. Select which Threads you want to review on each meeting: when opening a meeting, at the bottom of the page you will see the Pool of Topics. Simply search for the one you want to add to the meeting, click on Show in meeting and select the name of the meeting where you want to add it (you can link it to multiple meetings).
  4. During your meetings, take notes on each topic or create quick ToDo's: By updating the Comments field (you can add new lines with shift+enter), keep track of the latest updates on the topic. You can also create Quick Tasks that will appear in your main dashboard.
  5. Once a topic Status is moved to Completed, it will disappear from your list and be listed in the Closed topics area.


We've all been there. You get your laptop with a bunch of note taking apps installed, but you can't get around it. You end up using notepads, and a myriad of other solutions to try to centralize notes around meetings, projects, things to do, etc.

After talking and exploring how people takes notes across many companies, we've came up with what we called the "threads" flow; and what better place than within Notion to set it up!

Who is this template for?

Threads was designed for people that usually spends a fair amount of time in meetings, aiming for simplicity and speed to let you scroll around your ongoing topics either to give updates, take notes or create quick TODOs.

So it applies both for anyone working within a startup, up to a global company with multiple teams.
